Asphalt shingles are affordable, easy to install, and come in a wide variety of colors and styles. However, they generally only last around 15-30 years and can be susceptible to wind damage.
Steel roofs are durable, fire resistant, and energy efficient. They can last 40 years or more with little maintenance required. However, they can be prone to denting from hail and are generally more expensive upfront.
